Volkswagen Tiguan
The Volkswagen Tiguan is a luxury crossover SUV, that has been in production since 2007. There have been two generations released in the Tiguan range, with the second generation released on the market in 2016. The Tiguan directly competes with the other luxury SUV’s such as Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Mercedes Benz GLB, though with an influx in SUV’s hitting the market in recent years the competition is expanding to include others such as the Toyota Kluger, Hyundai Tucson and Mazda CX-5.
The Tiguan has a range of models available, but the two main variants are whether or not it has a long wheelbase or short wheel base. The Long wheelbase which is referred to as the Tiguan Allspace, can seat up to 7 people while the standard Tiguan range will seat 5.
Recent sales figures have seen the VW Tiguan take the number one spot as the best-selling vehicle in Volkswagens SUV range and there are three different trim levels available, the Trendline, Comfortline and Highline, with an optional R-line that is offered only on the Highline model. The Tiguan comes equip with either a 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder and 1.4 Litre 4 Cylinder engine, there is also a 2.0 Litre turbo diesel available in the Allspace models.
