The S3 is powered by a 2.0 litre four-cylinder turbo charged engine, and comes standard with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system. Common problems with the Audi S3

The Audi S3 is a luxury sedan with a sports edge, ideal for someone who wants that extra power and performance from their car. With regular servicing and maintenance your S3 should remain a reliable and enjoyable drive, but here are some common problems that you should be aware of.

MAF Sensor Failure

It is a common problem with the S3 for the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF sensor) to fail. This sensor determines the amount of airflow into the engine and if it is faulty you may notice your car is lacking in power with overall poor performance. If your Audi S3 isn’t running quite right, then it could be the MAF sensor. The experienced mechanics at Auto Studio can isolate the problem and repair any issues with your car.

Faulty Coil pack

There has been a number of reports that the coil packs have failed in multiple models of Audi’s S range. This can cause the vehicle to have a rough idle, become louder than usual or lose power. It may also develop inconsistent revs (RPM) or have the check engine light become illuminated. Auto Studio can replace or upgrade the coil packs in your car if needed and ensure your vehicle is running at its optimum performance.

Clutch Replacement

It is not uncommon for the clutch to need replacement in all cars from time to time, and the Audi S3 is no exception. Some signs that your clutch may need to be replaced include; A spongy, sticking or loose clutch pedal, squeaking clutch, poor acceleration and difficulty shifting gears. The mechanics at Auto Studio can inspect your clutch and install a replacement if required.
