Audi’s Allroad quattro variants are available in A4 and A6 models and adds an option for those who are looking for something with a little extra versatility. The Allroad models come with a sophisticated air suspension system and a more powerful engine along with some differences in body styles that enable extra height and cargo space.

The main competition for the Allroad models is the Mercedes Benz E Class, Volkswagen Alltrack or Skoda’s Octavia Scout. The A6 Allroad is powered by a diesel TDI quattro S Tronic engine, and the A4 has the option of a petrol TFSI or diesel TDI quattro S Tronic engine.

Audi Allroad Problems?

It is important to carry out regular servicing and routine maintenance to ensure that you are driving a safe and reliable vehicle. The mechanics at Auto Studio are European car experts and would love to assist with all your servicing needs and keep your Audi driving its best. Here are some common problems that you may come across with your Allroad.

Air Suspension

Leaking air bags can cause one or multiple corners of the vehicle to dip when parked for overnight or for a long period. Often the height will return to normal once the car has been started, but this is a problem that should be addressed as soon as possible. If this has been happening to your car, it is likely that the suspension air bag will need to be replaced. The experienced mechanics at Auto Studio in Adelaide can easily resolve this issue, so if you have any concerns about your suspension, just give the friendly team a call.

Oil Leaks

Some models are prone to excessive oil leaks, and others have been known to rapidly burn through oil. Either way, driving your vehicle without enough oil can lead to serious engine problems and is not something that should be put off. You may find leaks from the valve covers, cam adjuster seals or turbo lines but a leak can be difficult to diagnose so we recommend booking to have one of our RAA approved mechanics take a look and isolate the problem.

Timing Chains

Problems with the timing chain tensioners and guides can cause the timing chain to become loose and can lead to major engine damage. If you have noticed any rattling noises during start up or idling, have trouble starting or experience engine misfires it could be a symptom of a loose chain. This is something that should be checked as soon as possible to ensure you are driving a safe and reliable vehicle.
