Resolving worn timing chains

The most common culprit of a timing chain rattle is a worn-out timing chain, tensioner or broken chain guides. This is a common issue with Volkswagen V6 engines manufactured between 2008 – 2010.  This procedure is a labour intensive as the transmission requires removal.
